Brent Thiessen was nominated for two 2019 Toronto BroadwayWorld Awards. His performance as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie, starring alongside Cindy Williams of 'Laverne & Shirley', earned him a nomination as Best Featured Actor in a Musical. As Buddy in Elf The Musical, he received a nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. His performance was also named one of the Top 10 theatre performances of 2018 by The Hamilton Spectator, alongside Glenda Jackson and Sir Ian McKellen. 


An audience favourite, he has appeared in starring roles for theatres across his native Canada, including Theatre Calgary with Olivier Award nominated director Stafford Arima, and Theatre Aquarius with acclaimed director/ choreographer Michael Lichtefeld. Brent made his American stage debut in the Fall of 2019 in North Shore Music Theatre's hugely successful production of The Bodyguard. He will be seen this spring in Goodspeed Musical's 2020 season opener, South Pacific, before starring as Max Van Horn in the 1st National Tour of Tootsie later this year.
